What's interesting is that I contacted seller and I told him that I wanted to buy 10. He told me no problem, and that he would have them ready in a few days! ;D

Are we paying too much attention on how much a specimen is worth? I get a feeling the 1st thing everyone want to know is HOW MUCH?

I think most of us will pay top dollar for the bugs we absolutely want, but we also know it pays to shop around. "A fool and his money are soon parted." An obvious fraud such as this is, IMO, an item of humor for those of us here rather than one of shock and disbelief.
I am frequently amazed at how cheaply I buy things on Ebay. I see a bug I want and put in a high bid of what I am willing to pay and end up getting the insect for 10% or less of what I bid. If I am buying from a web site, I do not quibble and ask for discounts.
I assume people sell their insects for what they are worth to them and not simply what the market will bear.
The internet has caused the price of insects to drop substantially. It has created a source of income for hundreds of people worldwide whereas the market was dominated by a handful of dealers previously.

garin33 - I wonder how he would respond to multiple large orders! I've got a twisted sense of humor, but I like to people squirm a bit when they are ripping people off or acting like jerks. Back in the 80s, I worked for Pepsi. We were doing a reset of the beverage aisle space allocation. Each major company had 2 or 3 employees working on it. One of the Dr Pepper guys was being a total jerk, and I managed to get his pager number. This was before cell phones or even pagers that registered a caller ID were around. Your pager went off & you had to call your office to get a phone number or message. I gave his pager number to about 10 people & each of us would call it about 2 or 3 times each day for a couple of weeks. Doubt if he got much work done running to the nearest phone to call in!

One good thing for the seller..... After I looked at this item, I ended up buying some Graphium sarpedon that she is selling. I'll report back on the quality.

Wingedwishes - That may have been the intent all along. Have an outrageous listing that will generate page views so people will see other items for sale. Good strategy! Other items seemed reasonably priced. Charlie
