C. fujiokai is only found in China and C. gestroi is a lot more widespread. C. fujiokai is a lot more closely related to C. formosanus. The upper hook at the end of the arm on C. gestroi is a lot longer than C. fujiokai and C. fujiokai has a lot less dots than C. gestroi............... your specimens can only be C. gestroi or C. battareli.

Thanks for replying, yes, I agree it is not Ch. gestroi, maybe battareli. However they are really small size and collect near the border Vietnam-China. Near Guangdong (local type of Ch. fujiokai). But you maybe right, it very possible is Ch. battareli

Cheirotonus' charactors on pattern(appearance) is often hard to be determined among some species, i totally have no idea how the entomologist determined the different species if,for example, two species are very smilar appearance. the only way to devide them is by studying genitalia? ? i added one more question. if you have experiences of catching Cheirotonus ,please share, your Cheirotonus were all caught by light trap? i found many insects were almost unavailable to catch if without light trap.

Your pic from N. Thailand is definitely C. parryi.

If your specimens are from Cao Bang, they can only be C. battareli. I have 2 C. fujiokai in my collecting from Guangdong but they look very different on the pronotum than your specimens. Mine is a lot more shineier on the pronotum and less pitted than yours.

I only ever collected Cheirotonus from light trap but I know some one else has collected his on tree sap but some time they're very high up in the tree.

It's definitely C. battareli, only C. battareli is found in Ha Giang. C. fujiokai is only found in Guangdong and Shaanxi, they're not even found in Guangxi.
