I'm having trouble finding dried Coleoptera from sellers inside of the u.s. that sell for good prices. Can anyone point me to some sellers of dried beetles? I am looking for a seller I can establish a good relationship with and buy from often.
If anyone can help pm me or reply here Thanks a lot, Jordan

Dave DeRosa at Insect World, Chuck Ianni at Ianni Butterfly, and Mike Fehr in Montana has good things from time to time.

I actually just used insectworld and ended up with a bad experience.. I ordered Monday and my package came today so I was pretty happy with the speed considering an email I sent earlier was never answered. I was excited to open my package but when I only found 5 of the 15 specimens I ordered yet I was still charged for all of them needless to say I was pretty unpleased.
I've heard good things about insectworld so I don't know why this happened. The only issue I hear people talk about is communication which worries me since that's key to resolving the issue.

Well since there don't seem to be many great us sellers could anyone suggest independent suppliers in other countries? I figure independent sellers are a better choice since they are more likely to have lower prices and more invividual service.
Please let me know.

Try our neighbor to the North www.thornesinsects.com/ I purchased once from him, great experience, everything was perfect. Not the best prices on most of the items, but you can find some priced right. I don't know your interests, but check some Golofas, Phanaeus, Sphaenognathus gigantheus; great prices on Fornasinius russus. Good luck!

Make sure that you have your US Fish & Wildlife permits if you are ordering bugs from out of the country. A confiscated package without the right paperwork can turn into a major problem real fast.
Nosorog- No Mike does not have an online store. He posts from time to time when he gets new shipments in. I just got a couple of Actias dubernardi pairs from him that are outstanding.

Hi Jordan,
I'm not in the US and am more of a butterfly/moth guy but can wholeheartedly recommend Ken Thorne.
Also, why not try the advertisers in the "suppliers" section on here - if you do tell them you found them on here so they keep supporting Clark.
Also, what about eBay? Check out the feedback scores for trustworthy dealers. I've found that many are happy to trade on a one-to-one basis, outside of eBay, saving themselves the listing fees. You get to accept or decline any offer they make to you without getting into a crazy bidding war. Some of my best suppliers are people I started dealing with on eBay whom I now buy from directly.

Ianni and Tropical Butterflies are both good dealers in the United States and have long standing reputations as well as being advertisers here. I know that Miguel at Tropical Butterflies has a private collection with some hard to get coleopterans that he is selling.
