You are doing just fine, and welcome to the forum. Nice job mounting that beetle. Keep up the good work and show us some more of your collection. It is so nice to see young people getting into this hobby as I did when I was young. Tom

I just wanted to show you my collection, mostly Lucanidae. Not many of my specimens are in perfect A1 quality because I don't kill the beetles but breed them so they can live as long as they want to. Few specimens were bought on insect fairs. Here is one drawer with shiny Lucanidae Attachments:
