Hello everyone. I had a poor beetle collecting season last year but one of my nicer catches was a Phileurus truncatus. My data says I collected him on 7/7 and I still have him alive and well. Reading behind he lines at BugGuide I gather ther's no external way to sex them. This particular one is on the smaller side so it may be a female. At any rate BugGuide mentioned specimens living up to two years in captivity. I'm feeding mine a pure maple syrup/water diet with apple slices on the side. He/(it) seems to be really healthy and full of vinegar. Anyone else tried keeping them and have stories to tell? Thanks, Darrell
