Hello Thanks. To me it does not have the looks of a noctuidae. Paul

The Genus is Phuphena. I originally thought is was Phuphena cilix, but it is not. I have sent the photograph to an associate in Canada, I am awaiting his reply.

It's definitely different than Phuphena cilix, and I don't think that it belongs to the genus Phuphena at all. However, I find that it's definitely a Noctuid (palpi, antennae..), as I firstly suggested above. I made a search, so far without success. I found/examined photographed specimens of Noctuid species from French Guyana from a couple of genera that look quite similar to the above moth, but they were still different than this, and am not sure even for the genus yet, so I will not suggest one at the moment. I will do a better search when I have the time.

Hello friends. Thanks for your suggestions. It is definitely not Phuphena cilex, a species which I already have in my collection from FG. And it is definitely not a Phuphena species either or a noctuid! Paul.

I found it ! Finally it's Pyralidae (especially those palpi were confusing as are similar in some Noctuids). Genus is for sure Salobrena. Your specimen seems identical to Salobrena toxocrossa from Ecuador, but I don't know if it occurs in French Guyana, too. Probably yes. Thanos
