Hello Your specimen it's very nice! This moth is one of the most beautiful insects I've seen "flying" (In fact it was not flying, but atracted to a ligth ;D) in my country. They are spectacular, it's justified that his name it's dedicated to a queen Regards

That one is probably my favorite moth. Last spring I bought a live cocoon, but it never hatched. I opened the cocoon up a little this fall, and the pupa was still moving. I read somewhere that if it isn't kept cold enough during the winter, it won't hatch that year. I have it in my refrigerator right now, and will probably move its container outside soon. Hopefully by next summer I will have one too!

I've never met this magnificent species. I know that flies close to Briancon in France and next year I'd like to set up a dedicated travel .............. only photo naturally.............

When does winter end in its habitat? I need to know when a good time would be to take it out of the freezer

Hi all:
Graellsia isabelae flies in April-May in the south of Spain and June in the central part of Spain.
