Oberthuri kirchneri isn't? But kind of greasy, or faded colours, or photographic artifact... Maybe an aberrant specimen or strange form. Sincerely I don't know.

It's a male Mecynorrhinella o. oberthuri. No greased or aberrant. Just the one of the 2 main forms of the species.

Cheers thanos It did say oberthuri oberthui on the picture, but when i checked for this on the net, it came up with nothing, that's why i thought it was the wrong name. What country are they from, tanzania? pete

Pete, yes, the nominate occurs in Tanzania plus S. Kenya, while kirchneri only Tanzania.
