I recently got this among many other moths. I think it might be a female Nudaurelia oyemensis, but am not sure because of her dark form. Mbale, RCA Jan. 2009 113mm Verso pics follows this pic. Attachments:

It may very well be one. I don't really focus much on aberrants, but she caught my eye and looked just plain 'worth having'...if you know what I mean. I have quite a bunch of this genus(or should I say genera soup.....Nudaurelia, Gonimbrasia, Imbrasia) and she really adds to it nicely.

yes this seems an exceptional aberation of G. melanops (of which oyemensis is a synonym). The species is very much variable but a such thing ... never seen !

Wow, thanks africaone. Knowing the ID for sure sure beats the 'I think' mode. Now I am very glad I snarled up this babe.
