I haven't a clue what this is. My daughter sent me this photo and said she found one in her new house. She lives in Wa. State (West side of the mountains). Sorry that it's so blury. She was more interested in smashing it than photographing it. Anyone have any idea what this is?

It's a true bug of the family Hemiptera. Looks like she already smashed it Not a dangerous insect, they generally feed upon plant sap or fluids via the use of their straw-like mouthparts characteristic of 'bugs'.
