Can anybody tell me something about Mr. Carlos Saavedra from Peru?
He organises EntomoTrips and posted classifieds here on insectnet, he is located in Iquitios, Maynas, Peru.

I bought one insect from him. But he recently had a problem with his permit. He sent a parcel to Spain without permit. So his INRENA permit has been canceled. He said he is going to refund my money tomorrow. I will see if he is going to refund my money tomorrow....  I would avoid him until his permit problem is solved. |

May I ask did you pay him via Western Union? Because he says Paypal doesn't work in Peru...

Yes, paypal does not work in Peru. I had to pay him via W.U. I will let you know if he refunds my money. If not then he is not honest.

He failed to keep his word. He said he is going to refund tomorrow. We will see what happens tomorrow...

Hello, I am wondering the same about Carlos. I just contacted him for the first time today and he is very amiable but only accepts Western Union. I am cautious esp. if he has not refunded the money as he promised joonwoosung. But yet he is still advertising to sell more insects? Permit revoked??? Nice katydid, but worth the risk?! ~Will

I was very interested in the Katydid also. But he said no pay pal in Peru..this is a lie. Also no one has had any insects from him so far??? 120 bucks is allot of money to just piss away.... I say careful!!! But as stated that is one sweet katydid.

I was waiting for my order to be approved by INRENA. But it was canceled because he sent one parcel to Spain without a permit. He seems to be a legitimate supplier. But he said he can only send parcel without permit until he recovers his licence.
Deal with him at your own peril. Without the permit, I would not take a risk......

I went to the store to pick up but sender's name was wrong.
I guess he uses a different name when he sends money. But this is very very frustrating!!!!!
