Adam, maybe the "God" status can evolve depending of top posters ? No, I was well over 800 posts some weeks ago, and now I am down to 758. Must be due to all those 'discussions' about the status of hermeli being deleted ;-( Adam. |

1/ Nabokov
2/ Bates
3/ Meek
4/ Wallace
5/ Darwin
Of course there could be 20 other famous entomologists, but I think the most famous ones are those.
I chose entomologists who went also a lot on fields, thus I excluded Oberthür, Rothschild, Linnae...

Something like that. What I am sad about is some of those posts have a lot of interesting information in them, and overall took hours to write and research information. It's a pity that the attitude of one poster can cause such havoc on here, as we saw a few days ago with the troll posts that started appearing all of a sudden. I wonder if they really came from Hawaii? (I must admit I did get a good chuckle out of the idea that sandpaper is the best  ) Adam. |

Yeah, I just replaced 'God' with Nabokov. I figure If I replaced all of those levels with names of entomologists the effect of 'levels' would be lost to new people or beginners, etc.
