Has anyone had recent contact with Mario Amoy (Voninahitsy Mario Amoy Eugene)?
This is the last I heard from him, dated 7-17-2012:
"Thank you for your payment, we got it. We prepare the documents and ship it next week."
No specimens and no further responses to emails and FaceBook have been received since.

Dear Dave Usually Mario is very reliable with his specimens and prompt with his deliveries. I have visited him and his family, and traded well with him for years. There have been two terrible cyclones in Madagascar and this has added to the problems with the civil unrest and the disrupted email, telephone and post services. I suggest he would appreciate your patience. Colon

Thanks for the update, Colon,
Cyclone Giovanna struck on February 14, 2012, a full five months before Mario received my payment and began preparing my shipment. Obviously, at that time (five months after the cyclone), he was in contact with me via email - penning the above message. It is now over 13 months since the cyclone hit central Madagascar and over eight months since his acknowledgement of receipt of my payment and assurance of his intentions to ship within a week. With no more recent disaster occurring in the interim. I assume the logic of these dates and figures needs no further explanation.
Perhaps you are in contact with him now (or someone else - thus, my thread in this Forum topic). His other customers and I, with paid but unreceived orders, certainly deserve assurance not only that he is okay (no personal tragedy) but that he is committed to reestablishing communication with all of us about our unfinished business.
I too have done good business with him in the past.
Dave
