These are not butterflies. They are both males of the same species of day flying moths, family Geometridae, note the antennae. I call these Dysphania militaris, but I cannot guarantee the species name. This is another species I commonly see in my garden, although that is probably because there is a stream near the bottom of the garden where they can often be seen flying up and down. I don't normally see this (or closely related) species elsewhere outside the forest.
