DO NOT SEND ADVANCE PAYMENT!! He is a a scammer that uses multiple names. He last used the name Laode Nahruddin. He often offers rare species at reasonable prices & uses pictures taken from other internet sites. I repeat: DO NOT SEND ADVANCE PAYMENT!

One simple rule to be safe : "Never send payment first, except to VERY well known suppliers"
You will see one day, you will break that rule and you will regret it, we all did that mistake. But once you have lost some money, you remember it !
I have been crooked only one time in my life (among more than 1000 purchases/exchanges), it was by the infamous David Roda Marco, I lost about 200 euros, not so much but I was a student then. As he was Spanish and looked knowledgeable I trusted him...

I have had dealings with him before. He has used this name before, and most certainly a crook

He contacted me again saying that he was very honest and respects me, even though I refused to buy anything from him. He then said that he wasn't a crook etc...I don't trust a word he says

DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY! He will not ship without advance payment, or 50% payment, or shipping costs. He will try every angle to get money in advance. I am aware of numerous buyers that have been totally scammed by him. STAY AWAY!

This seller sent me an email "out of the blue" with a price list of relatively cheap butterflies. When I asked how he got my name, he could not clearly explain. I told him that I only pay through PayPal...he told me he did not accept PayPal, and that was the end of him. I have been buying extensively through Ebay, and even the "bad eggs" will have to give back your money if specimens are not received or damaged IF YOU PAY THROUGH PAYPAL. Reading though these threads,
I am frankly surpised that, apparently, not everyone knows about the Customer Protection guarantee through both Ebay and PayPal. In fact, even if a case if "closed" through Ebay, you have the PayPal guarantee to fall back on. It seems that many members must be dealing with these sellers outside both Ebay and PayPal channels ?!

DO NOT SEND ADVANCE PAYMENT!!! Laode Binto also goes by Laode Nahruddin. He works in a ring of scammers from Indonesia who have hit the insect trade hard with their scams. It is very likely that you will hear from one of his associates out of the blue offering hard to get insects at suspicious prices. Laode operates outside of the realm of Ebay and does not accept PayPal. There have been previous posts regarding his dishonest dealings and scams.

Yes, this person is a scammer he copies and pastes pricelist from this site www.giradis-insect.com/ and says it's his own stock and has none of them. |
