Quintin, I Understand. And I will try and not be preachy nor do I think anyone is trying to get you banned from the forum. Just try and remember that everything you type here is seen around the world. Not everyone here is conservative, Christian or heterosexual. And even if they did fit that mold, many would still be put off by harsh and hurtful opinions.
I'm not saying that you have to be perfectly politically correct to keep me happy. Just don't belittle my peers.

I will keep this in mind, but I was just giving my opinion about marriage which may not be "politically correct" but I see that many others give their opinions...and as Winston Churchill once said, having enemies is a good thing because it shows that you have stood up for something in your life...
Anyway, I was also somewhat ticked off when Wollastoni told me that he is somehow more mature than me because he is older, but lets not argue anymore, lets keep on the topic of entomology...

France is a beautiful country with a very rich and large butterfly diversity, with many different mountain ranges, with very different climates. It's also a paradise for insect collector as people are friendly with you, as long as you respect local rules and a polite behaviour. It's also a paradise for collectors because of the MNHN, of Juvisy insectfair, of Drouot, of Deyrolle, of Fontainebleau forest 1 hour from Paris. Then women are beautiful, wine delicious and food excellent. So yes we have some social problems in our suburbs and some riots every 2 year (like yesterday during PSG Champion party...) but frankly it's a very nice country.  |

Olivier, you're so right!
France is one of the most beautiful countries with an incredible variety of landscapes and cultural heritage wherever you look.
By the way my beloved mother was french (une Alsacienne).
Therefore, I feel attracted and belonging to both countries.

In England its even worse than anywhere else,our government has given away our country free of charge to any race that wants to come in, claim benefits, free housing, free health service and even send some money home to good old mum and dad, claim for members of their family that dont actually live in the UK and to pay for all this they stop the benefits of UK residents, most of whom have paid more into the system than they will ever get out, give all social housing to immigrants at the expense of yes you guessed it UK citizens and in short taken away all rights of free speech to anybody who dares to speak out against it by branding them a racist. In good old modern Britain the only ones who are given a hard time because they have no voice anymore are christians, fat people and people with ginger hair, you can be as scathing as you want to this section of society but dont dare to criticise homosexuals, eastern Europeans and above all muslims, dont dare offend a muslim. I think someone mentioned in this thread that it's the "young" muslims that are growing up to be the extremists. This may be true, but Anjem Choudary is 45 years old and born in britain, He's not a child. Many muslims are fine and don't want cobfrontation, but watch what will happen in britain soon. Have we had a debate about lee rigby being beheaded on the streets of woolich? Or Cédric Cordiez stabbed by a radical muslim in paris? Listen, there are going to be many more of these attacks, trust me. And before anyone goes on about the forces of the U.S or the soldiers of the U.K invading iraq, afganistan etc. I DO NOT AGREE WITH IT. The lads should come home. When the muslims protested against our soldiers on the streets of britain, they were spitting in the faces of the soldiers mothers. We had a 16 year old girl raped by 90 muslim men over the period of one weekend. Yes it boils my blood. I personally know muslims who have openly told me that THEY ARE TAKING OVER!!! when i laughed at him thinking he was joking, he kept stern faced and said "i ain't messing". DO NOT SHOOT ME DOWN FOR THE WAY I FEEL. the beheading young lee rigby who left behind a 2 year old child was discraceful and if you try and explain the reasons for this.....well, i think it's best left there. this video was posted just after the murder. Yes it's by an E.D.L member, but i believe he speaks the truth here. |
