I assume you mean Javier Lamber (no 't'). He's a middleman seller, generally reasonably good quality and usually has good data, but he's not so cheap. When I was buying butterflies I used to buy from him, as I'd say he's one of the most reliable S American sellers, not a crook. At least that was my experience of buying from him. He never cheated me, although it is a couple of years since I bought from him (or anyone else for that matter).

Thank you, Adam. He (Lambert with t) is offering some material from Cuba in the Classifieds, "all A1". I have asked him now for the price of the A1 pair of Papilio oxynius he mentioned. He answered immediately, that he has checked better now, there are just two males in A-. I don't like this way of wasting my time with wrong adverts to get in contact with customers.

I recive the same message  But like Adam say , the price are very very expensive : for example a mal Parides gundlachianus for 200 $  Otherwise i've never bought anything to him so i can't help you  |

I have noticed his prices have gone up significantly recently, as he still sends me his offers by e-mail. I have the feeling he's been looking at some of the retail websites and decided he can sell his specimens for that money too. When I used to buy from him, he was more expensive than the local sharks (most of whom would take your money and send rubbish or nothing at all) but not more than you might expect from a middleman.

His prices do appear to be very high - especially for this lot, but I have dealt with him several times in the past and he is reliable.

I've found his prices on Phanaenini CRAZY high, absolutely unreasonable.

Hi,
I guess the prices are subject to bargain, you have to talk them out. I am currently trying to place an order for the first time with Lamber (in the email without "t" but signed the letter with "t"!?) but I have been asked to send the money with western union to Pablo Wagner and I think I remember years ago someone mentioned him a bad context, if I am not wrong. I am trying to search the forum, but came with nothing...I probably don't know how to use the search option properly. Can someone confirm me if anyone placed an order from Lamber and payed to Wagner?

I've bought material from Javier several times and paid the money to Pablo Wagner, but I've always used Paypal. I've never had a problem getting the specimens.

Yes, whenever I bought from Javier Lamber I always paid Pablo Wagner by Paypal, and never had any problems.
