Ladies and gentlemen, take a look at the photos posted by apolloniusn e-bay seller, “specializing” in the so-called “aberrants” (I’m talking about PARNASSIUS). Apart from two of the specimens offered being regular in every aspect possible (the remaining one being just a freak), all of them not only lack their geographical data (to be invented on request), but their antennae as well (surely, nobody pays any attention to such things). ..Time after time, where do all these come from, is apolloniusn using some secret steady source of this alternative stuff? And now look at the prices… The cost of his “aberrant Parnassius phoebus female (sacerdos)” (“DARK FOREWINGS”, ha-ha!) or “aberrant” apollonius male (“DAS NOT HAVE RED SPOT ON FOREWINGS BUT IT MUST PRESENT”, ha!) is comparable to that of Aetheoptera victoria regis pair, offered on e-bay (!). And similarly to goliath*2010, another tricky (freaky) seller, here we have a traditional 100% positive feedback. I just wonder who buys this junk…

Holy Christ! This time we have it this way: “APOLLONIUS ABERRANT NO BLUE DOTS ON FOREWINGS” Some day, as far as it does not sell, the listing will go like this: "APOLLONIUS WITH TWO LEFT HORNS INSTEAD OF BOTH RIGHT"..

I am afraid not as long as collectors pay for these items.

So am I, but this is one of the 'human factor" components that make me really sick... Why, don't they see?!

stapleton < I don't know goliath*2010 but I bought him a specimen and I was happy with it. I have checked his account,( see his shop), if he was really dishonest he would not have received 1834 positive feedbacks, 1 neutral feedbacks and 0 negative feedback during the last 12 months. Or do you think his 1835 customers are stupid You may be right saying some stuff he sells are not well identified and that is English is poor, but I don't think he tries to cheat people. Those cheaters don't have a 100% feedback on ebay...

wollastoni, as I've already said in some other thread, Ebay has a special SELLER PROTECTION PROGRAM. This 100% positive score simply sucks... No, I don't think that "1835 customers are stupid", and I'm glad he made you happy, but I PERSONALLY HAD SOME PRETTY **ITTY experience with the guy. He stinks, that's what I know and that's it (Or maybe it's just because I'm Russian, whereas you boys are not)... Dear buyers can buy whatever junk they choose. "MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE". And after all, this thread is about another stinky guy, or has he also made you happy?

Sorry, I've just realized you wrote: "...but I bought him a specimen and I was happy with it.". Do you mean you bought a specimen for HIM and now you are happy? If buying specimens for some other people makes you happy, then it makes a dramatic difference... But he will surely sell it right away, for he is not even a collector, but a re-re-re-seller. Could you please clear it up somehow?

I bought a specimen FROM him... Quintin, who is not my best friend here, was also happy with him... As 1830 other people...
There is no such things as "seller protection program", if people are disappointed they would say it. Why would not they ?
I just realized you and goliath are both Russian, you should be able to contact him to solve your personal problem with him.

I wonder what made you think I'm trying to make somebody else solve my problems... Naturally, I always do it myself, 'cause YES, I AM ABLE, and by the way, I have no problems with goliath*2010. And finally, I did not say a word about ebay's "seller protection problem". It was (and it still is) "PROGRAM" instead. You seem to be very fond of the word "problem", aren't you? (So, I used it four times). Living or even being born in Russia does not mean you are Russian. Good luck bidding!

Well, here we are again (apolloniusn): "VERY RARE FEMALE OF PARNASSIUS AUTOCRATOR FROM TADJIKISTAN ON EBAY"!!! The RARITY of this specimen, I guess, is a result of P. eversmanni wingpieces, used to substitute the missing parts of its forewings... (Suppose the recent poor ancient "EVERSMANNI MONGOLICA", which had no chance to be bought, has fallen a victim to the autocrator restoration process, for the yellowish color of the patches is obviously visible). Only $288!!! Happy bidding!
