What happened to the update of Proboards that was supposed to happen earlier this month. We were told we'd have to login again after the update, but nothing seems to have changed and I haven't been asked to login.
Adam.

I thought it was going to happen automatically some time in May, but it didn't. I'm investigating...

Indeed, ask and hey presto it will happen!
I notice the Insect Trading Reports Forum is now open access. I guess you'll have to reset the password protection before anything serious happens.

The new format seems quite good, not too different from the old one that it takes time to learn, but the icon to send a PM has gone, and using the link via the drop down menu on the right of a post settings icon>Member>Send Message doesn't seem to work. I had to click on the name of the member I wanted to contact and use the link there.
One distinct improvement is the easy ability to post a photo of myself so that it appears on the left of my posts. It might have been easy before, but certainly wasn't as obvious.

I'm trying a different approach for the Trading Reports: they can only be viewed by registered users, no passsword required.

You have to make a deliberate effort to send a PM. Proboards still needs to fix the first method you were trying to use. This is going to take a while to smooth out.

One big problem has occured: the image thumbnails posted before the upgrade seem to be broken, at least from my side. But new posts made after the upgrade will show the thumbnails correctly. I gotta get this fixed or we are toast. Working on it.

Where are the Classifieds now? Hannes They're at classifieds.insectnet.com/Your question made me notice that all the Insectnet.com links that used to be on the forum have gone. Clark will probably have to put them back in again. Adam.

I'm trying a different approach for the Trading Reports: they can only be viewed by registered users, no passsword required. Good idea that registered users no longer need to use the password, if it still has the desired effect. Is the text now visible to the general public in a Google search? If so it might not be so secure. Adam.

All you have to to is click the InsectNet.com icon in the banner and you will get back to our home page that has all those links.

I'm not familiar with the admin panel in this forum, but most forums i've used before have an own user category called "bots" which you can assign permissions to, so as long as u have only registered users allowed to view the category there should be no problem. I'm not 100% sure though, but pretty sure.
