Hi people I have been trying to identify the below Pseudochazara specimens for quite some time now but I didn't manage to get a satisfactory identification so far. Specimen A comes from Tajikistan-Turkestan ridge whilst the other 3 specimens ( B, C & D) come from Tajikistan-North Alichor ridge and are relatively small compared to other Pseudochazara specimens. The other single specimen comes from Kyrgyzstan-Terskey Alatau. Is there anymore who owns vol. 4. The Butterflies of Tajikistan - tshikolovets-books and/or vol. 6. The Butterflies of Kyrgyzstan - tshikolovets-books who can help me out with the identifications please? I do have some clues to what the 5 species could be but I'm not 100% convinced. Thanks Jonathan www.satyrinae.yolasite.com

Single from Teskej Alatau, according Tshikolovets ( But. of Kyrgyzstan)and Toropov & Zhdanko ( But. of Dzhungar, Tien Shan, Alai and Eastern Pamirs) is : Pseudocharaza turkestana turkestana (GRUM-GRSHIMAILO, 1893), male. Tshikolovets : plate LXXXIV Toropov : page 362 Following Toropov & Zhdanko, B, C and D are : Pseudocharaza turkestana esquilinus FRUHSTORFER 1911, males. In Tshikolovets ( But. of Tadjikistan), I can't see the P. turkestana subspecies for the area North of Alichur Range (plate LXV). Regarding A, following Thikolovets ( But. of Tadj.), could be P. turkestana sagina (HEYNE, (1894)), male. Given for Zeravshan, Hissar Mountains, Ishkashim, Vanj Mts. Hoping it could help.

Thanks for your detailed explanations That is what I thought for specimens B, C & D and the individual specimen but I got confused with specimen A since it's colors are different from the norm. Thanks once again Jonathan www.satyrinae.yolasite.com/

Hi Radovan, If you send me a photo I can easily identify your specimens as I'm 99% familiar with Turkish Satyrinae. Jonathan
