Prosopocera lactator. I have a large number of them. They can be quite variable. Jeff Prill

Greetings,
Could you post another image of this from a direct dorsal view? This critter is nagging at me - I've seen a lot of Prospocera lactator, but have never seen one with black borders to the cream markings. Additionally, the patches of white on the pronotum seem too extensive for lactator. Also, can you give a size?
Probably is just a variant of P. lactator, but my "spidey-sense" is all atingle...
Cheers! Bandrow

I thought the same. I checked many images and couldn't find one like it, but to be honest Jeff does know his cerambycidae. The bugs all wrapped now ready for sale. I'll dig it out and take some more pics

Greetings!
Well, I'm glad I decided to re-stir the pot on this one! I felt I had seen that critter before, but could not dredge the thing out of my memory. We didn't have it in the collection at work, so I must have seen it somewhere online. Glad you got a good ID - and I would suggest expecting a little more in price for that species than for a P. lactator...
Cheers! Bandrow
