Hope you all like looking through these specimens and any help in correctly identifying anything that is wrongly labelled would be much appreciated by me and anybody else that's equally confused by this genus, especially the extremely variable chrapkowskoides and nireus, the others seem pretty uniform in wing shape and markings, a little variation in colour (though some of this would be down to flash being used) i am always looking for more of these from all over the african continent, especially west africa so if anyone has spare specimens still papered laying around please get in touch i would be interested and any specimens i will add to this thread. As there is no site on the web (that i've found) we can make this a reference thread for the group, i welcome all additional photo's. Rich

I have quite a few of this group papered, most of them are from Malawi. I think that is how they will remain.

I believe the Thuruai occidua i've put on here are also form heathi (ex Ray Murphy specimens). Colin if you're ever thinking of selling some of the papered stock please let me know, i would be interested, not just Malawi stuff, anything from any where as long as they have data..

I'm having a similar issue identifying an individual I recently caught... it doesn't help that it has significant damage to it's hindwings. It was caught just outside Bunia, DRC (first and only one I've observed in the savannah out here, though I've only been collecting for a few months). Any ideas on the ID? Thanks, Tom
