Eglanterina season is upon us in the San Gabriel Mountains, CA. Do you live anywhere near here? You could take out a freshly emerged calling female and catch many, many males in a short time.

Hi Clark,
I collected the original stock as a larval mass at Shuswap, in the southern interior of B.C.Canada. I did see your videos a few years back using hemileuca females as bait and thought Id give it a go myself. I just got back yesterday from a trip to the same area with 4 freshly emerged females. Typically, Eglanterina is on the wing in large numbers mid July in my area, but I still managed to call in 12 very fresh males within an hour. I kept three of the nicest and let the rest go. It was just good to get out and watch the show!

Indeed an awesome experience to see those guys come in. You can just stand in one place and pick and choose.
