24mm. there're so many variations on mandiblies of some lucanidae sp. worldly. very hard to ID simplely by oneself directly by pictures from books or websites or even hard to find. Attachments:

I'm not the World's expert with these guys, but it strongly resembles my Prosopocoilus antilope from Cameroon. Your's is redder than mine, but that may be in part due to the flash. Also, even with the apparently smaller mandibles, I think it is a male.....like mine. I am going to look into this further---

i have Prosopocoilus antilope 3 tooth forms,small,middle,and large. regarding this one from Uganda is small mandiblies,here i posted the 4 males which are small mandibilies. a bit difference with this one from Uganda. the small/middle mandibilies lucanidae sometimes are indeed hard to ID. thank you very much!
