I think my home insurance said they covered a % of what I claim the collection is worth. I'd have to show them pictures or whatever. Anyways if I lost my butterflies in a fire , that would be the end of this hobby for me. I'd never be able to duplicate the arrangements I did over the years or have the patience to find all the species again
That's why I don't buy REALLY expensive butterflies. I'd rather have 95% of the species I wanted at a reasonable price than the 5% I'd worry too much about (Only a few specimens I paid more than 100$). It's also more about all the hours I put into this than the actual value of the specimems
I hope I can live out my life without going through a major disaster (fire,flood...)
