I have often noticed that the Bumblebees of the genus Bombus seem drunk, dazed and confused when feeding at the very tall and impressive Woolly Headed Thistle [ Cirsium eriophorum ]. Perhaps thats why in Britain I rarely see lepidoptera visiting this flower for its very rich nectar.
