I enjoy seeing the small Fritillary butterflies of the Nymphaidae family. Here is my photograph of Boloria euphrosyne resting on bluebell, a flower that adds so much colour to the British woodlands in the spring. B. euphrosyne used to be common in most of our woodlands but a cessation of coppicing nearly led to its extinction, especially in England and the butterfly is now a rarity.
