Since I am a well known dealer,I have ordered from them without sending payment in advance,but am still waiting for the parcel.
Let´s see if I will get it

Hi all! About 2 weeks ago I ordered 4 pairs and 1 male of Ornithoptera paradisea from Farfalla Insect Orchid (unfortunately, I do not know about his real name, probably Penjatan Tangguh, but there was only "Farfalla" on the parcel). No payment in advance, of course. When I receive the parcel (attached photo), there was only 1 male of O.paradisea and pack with 15 Cetonids (!). I asked him what does it mean, but he not answered and I post notification about this suspicious activity in some insect trading groups on Facebook (for example - www.facebook.com/groups/123905171105391/228890603940180/). I have sent his parcel back to him October 29 (tracking RA293722675RU) After my posts, this man post explanation that he put 2 pairs of O. paradisea (why 2, if I`ve ordered 4?) under the cotton in Cetonids pack, and everybody do so and I`m very stupid if I didn`t know this thing. Also he posted some ads here in Classifieds, that I`m thief and swinler. After his insulting post to other Facebook members, he was banned on Facebook till now. Have anybody some ideas, what it was? I have never hear about this type of hiding and sending material (anyway, 1 male was not cloaked in box). Is he really honest dealer? This an email I got from him about this problem Dear sir. beginning of the problem: I sent a package to Denis Potanin, I sent it to her 2 pairs O. Paradise, (because I do not have cites), I put them brought cotton, and I put some CItonnidae above, (so no problem with customs) and I only put 1 (Male) Paradisea thereon. but Denis Potanin did not know about it, (if I put him down cotton he orders, and he did not check them out) she immediately took the decision (without asking me) he wrote me a con man when I knew it, I was immediately comment on posts him, and explained kepadia the truth, but he does not understand. and finally I was angry because her attitude, who wrote me a con man, and it was very damaging to my sobriety. and it all ends with a change in my FB (communication) I can not get in, and not be able to send messages. I do not understand why this could happen, they ruin everything. I do not understand, why they do all This, what is my mistake? I only reply to posts Denis Potanin, and tries to explain what really happened I hope you can help me. why are they doing this to me? what they have done to me YOU CAN SEE, I send to Denis like this Best regard |

Did he supply you with CITES documentation for the paradisea? No he didn`t. But, he didn`t offer CITES permits in initial offer, and I didn`t asked. |

Why he didn`t notified me, that he hiding Ornithopters under cetonids? I can`t understand the logic... Why was sent only 2 pairs, although we agreed on 4? |

I think you shouldn't try to buy CITES listed species without permits, then you won't have problems, risk losing your money or risk legal consequences. There are plenty of other butterflies not listed in CITES - you could buy a hundred assorted non-CITES butterflies for the cost of just one pair of these. If you want CITES species them only buy them with permits, pay the extra but stay on the right side of the law and away from potential scammers.

I wouldn't have been too happy with those paradisea either, they look like Goliath too me, the males at least..
