For those of you who like binoculars and always wished for some thing lighter that you did not have to hold, well you will have to wait a little longer. The Zoomies are made to ware like a pair of glasses. They fit just fine, the sun shade is very clever, but the lenses are so cheap they are blurry around the sides with a small round circal in the middle that is mostly in focus. They do not magnyfy "400 %" as clamed. In sted it seems they enlarge less than half a persent if even that much at all. It is also clamed that they will magnify small things but instead the glasses remained very blurry when trying to look at small things. And I did fiddle around with the focus diles and could not get them to focus closly. Poor manufacturing and not tuns of resurch oveusly in this product. A bad buy. Do not waist your money on Zoomies.
On the flip side it is a wonderfull invention that may have worked a hole lot better if more consideration went in to it. If the inventer had studed very thoughly how binoculers and microscopes worked then carefully worked on how to combine them into one product with perfict good quality lences it might have worked. It sertinly would cost a lot more money to buy them. But I would be glad to pay for a pair of glasses that magnifyed very tiny things and magnified very far away things to 400% or even more for real that was not a gimmick like Zoomies. Keep working on it inventers. There are folks interested in better quality Zoomies that realy work!!!

Any optical device below 100$ isn't worth the money. (Working) optical devices are among the most fine craftsmanship that humanity practices nowadays.

Greetings, Typical "As Seen on TV" crap product. Here in the East, the commercial advertises them as magnifying "300%" - that sounds like a lot, but remember - that is only a magnification power of 3X. Your standard, hand-held, plastic 'dollar store' magnifying glass for $1.00 will do the same, or more. They're not being dishonest at all - they're just using a big, but accurate, number to make the unsuspecting think they're powerful glasses. And of course, you get a second pair free, "just pay extra shipping and handling" - which is probably five times the cost of the glasses. Now, the "Perfect Polly" singing plastic bird looks like a real deal, and the perfect gift for poor old grandma!! Cheers! Bandrow

"Cheap" and Optics are an oxymoron. You get what you pay for. The best value is used military binoculars, typically Steiner and Hensoldt, but not exclusively. However, they tend to be built like tanks.
For micro stuff, a digital camera is excellent. In the field you can take a photo and instantly expand it on the display; at home you can blow it up many times the size of the subject. For bench work, a digital camera & computer beats a jeweler's loupe.
