I've always liked Brassolids and this is the one I always wanted most. It's apparently very hard to get, and the only two I've seen for sale are these. The upper one, which I paid quite a bit for, is greasy but the underside is fine. I bought it thinking I'd never find another one, but the lower one was offered recently for a mere $20.00 with the condition that the left hindwing was stained. It is, but to me it doesn't show much. Both are males as far as I know. Attachments:

Beautiful specimens. Is it such a problem to degrease them?

No, I don't think it would be. I did dip it in acetone and get some of it out. It was already spread when I got it and the acetone softened it a little and the wings sagged. I'm sure it could be totally degreased, and I'd just have to re-spread it.
