OhhhHHHH... Really!.... so ssaaadd!.... Hahaha... -23.6 C here, right now, at 2:00 in the afternoon, in central SK, CANADA. Be warned... hold onto your oranges... a huge cold front, combined with a jet stream sagging way south of normal, is moving down from the north... Last flying insect I saw was a winter moth (sp. not collected or identified) flying at +1.5 C. in mid Oct...

Cold front blew into Houston around noon Thursday. It was 77F before the front & dropped to around 40F last night. Supposed to be at or a little below freezing the next few nights with highs only around 40F. It was 81F on Wednesday & the low was 68F. Went collecting for probably the last time until late February or early March. Highlight of the night were two Ello Sphinx (Erinnyis ello). First one was a smashed female run over by a car. Second one was a near perfect male which I collected.
