Do not throw your very old magazines away. They may be of some good value. Even hairstyling mags from years ago have value!! Just letting you know this after doing reserch on mags I found in dumpster such as old Look, Life, Holiday, hairstyling mags and Sunset mags. I kept the life But the other mags that I left are worth more $$. Well heres hoping the dumpster was not dumped yet!!

I still have a pile of magazines from the 80's (mostly outdoor life, sports afield etc.), I wonder if they are worth anything, and who would buy them?

I have a couple of copies of the May 1959 National Geographic containing the article "Giant Insects of the Amazon". I also have a stack of Popular Science magazines from the 1930s and a few Life & Look mags from the same time period. The cover of one of the Look magazines features the premiere of the movie Gone With The Wind. My grandfather had nearly every issue of National Geographic and Field & Stream. Is there a website that shows what they're worth?

May be old magazines are worth a lot of $$, but only if you have a buyer really interested ! Do not take prices you may see on the internet as a reference, because these magazines may have been advertised for months or years and not being sold yet ...
Generally old magazines are very difficult to sell ... And I know what I am talking about, being an antiquariat book dealer !

I am sure there are specific old books to that would take some time to sell. So those who plan to sell their mags like me need patience and persistence the book seller is saying. Ah no problem about that. Sooner or later some thing will sell. It always dos. I personally know no other way to get prices for old mags than on the internet. Well other than going to an anteaque store - but then you need a magazine speshalist. Those I sure are few. May be Mygos has a suggestion here as ware to get fair pricing advice?
I know old mags like around 1960s and older will be worth more than newer issues. Discontinued mags are worth more money than non dis continued mags. Also if a limited printing was don on an issue it will be worth more than others as in some issues of Arizona Highways mags. Those with populer topics or people are worth more money. Also condition matters. Mags with loose cover, crumbling glue on glued binding, worn corners or missing, ripped, stained or folded pages will be worth less than one in more perfict condition.
All I did was enter the name of the magazine in the serch engine and found prices that way: " value of old Life Magazines" for example. Or you can use the word vintage as some web sites do for the real old mags ( 1950s and older ).
Beetlehorn I think if there are famus people in your mags you might find some buyers for them. 5bchevy I do think you got a good old N G mag for selling if in good condition.
Forgive my spelling I can not get spell check to work.
