Parnassius eversmanni altaica (Sheljuzhko, 1914) = P. eversmanni ukokensis Sorimachi, 2000. I'm sorry, this is not a new ssp, just the same good ole Altaica

Unfortunately You are right. Anyway, next specimen: parnassius bremeri lumen? extinct? I suppose, it is not extinct. There is no any indication of it in "Butterflies of Korea" by Lee S.M. (1982). "Kyanggido" = Gyeonggi-do, a province in the NW of S. Korea. Usually, P. bremery is local but may be very abundant where it occurs. I know as I collected it in South Transbaikal

P. hardwickii doesn't have any subspecies, all the variations can be found across the range of the species. They seem to be related to environmental factors combined with the time of year the specimens emerge.

I have never seen this ssp on the market, I have seen specimens from N.Korea ( do not know if they are genuine) but from S Korea never. That's strange, don't you think? Taking into account the greatly 'closed' N.Korea and 'open' South one! I have an impression that there are no lepidopterists at all nowadays in South Korea - virtually noone is noticed on Facebook! The young generaton of S. Koreans are world champions in cyber-sport (computer gaming i.e.) but do not pay attention to insects ... Me too, had some specimens from N. Korea in the past... ( P. nomion to be exact)

I have so far only one specimen from N.Korea, collected by Polish expedition in 1989 I hope that there will be some specimens from S. Korea on the market in the near future.
