Hi people, I got stuck once again with some Spanish lycaenidae. I am not sure whether what I have are females of Aricia cramera or Aricia artaxerxes montensis. Any help please? Thanks. Jonathan Attachment Deleted

Hi Jonathan:
Aricia cramera is smaller than Aricia artaxerxes and the orange spots of the obverse in A.cramera arrive up to the end of wings.

I won't be much of a big help here as I don't have large series of both species available to tell you good characteristics to watch out for, but here pictures of both species again. Hopefully they will help you: Aricia artaxerxes montensis from Greece. Aricia cramera from Granada Prov. in Spain. Rgds Claude
