it is Ancylecha fenestrata (Fabricius, 1793)

I don't know if it's the same species, but here in Chiang Mai we have similar grasshoppers that can be about 12 inches long from head to wingtip when measured with wings folded closed over the abdomen.

Adam. This female, as others of this species that I saw, have wingspan about 14-15 cm. But from this location (Cameron Highlands ) I saw real big monster - Macrolyristes corporalis  |
