I think it looks like some species of Dysdera, maybe Dysdera crocata. A friend found several at her house. She said they were aggressive.  |

Takahe you are correct. The common name for this species is Woodlouse Spider since they feed exclusively on wood lice or pill bugs. Like all spiders they are venomous and will bite. The venom like any for that matter can cause allergic reactions in some people.
