Is it common to find butterfly's with different wing shapes on either side of their body? And would it be considered an aberration or a deformity? (I'm not really sure what exactly is considered "aberrant"... is it just differences in colouration?) Attachments:

Such deformations are common, they aren't "aberrations", just some kind of freaks. What is called aberration is when wing patterns differ from typical forms. One example I caught last year : P. bellargus ab. striata More info on this specimen here

it is not common .... and not rare ! it is freak (many times disgraceful)
be careful as sometimes (rarely) it hides gynandro case !
