Yes, Babber is an alternative spelling for Babar, but I have never seen it spelt Barbar (I think he was an elephant ) I assume you lost an r from Sermata. Adam.

Adam, its Babar in my books and I have googled it, Barbar Island it seems to be. and Sermata islands.
