Following Clark's lead I thought I would add some random bug photos to this category.
Not a rare species, but I caught this Adelpha bredowii (CA sister) defending his turf,

Caught these two O. priamus euphorion mating while I was in stomping through the rainforest in northern Australia near Cairns

Sorry Clark, I guess I should have added that info. Most shots are with a Canon 5D w/ a 45-200 mm lens. I'm looking into getting a macro lens, but they are sooooo expensive for that camera. For everyday shots I use a simple point and shoot Sony Cybershot. Here's one I took with the Canon. It's the endangered Lange's metalmark (Apodemia mormo langei) found only at a small dune refuge in Antioch, CA

I have a used Sony 100mm macro that I got on Craigslist for about 60% of its retail price. You need at least 100 mm to sneak up on these skittish butterflies! That metalmark is indeed rare - and protected.

That metalmark is indeed rare - and protected. Protected from collecting yes, but not from the camera ;D
