I saw what I believe was aristodemus at a park in the Dominican Republic but of course I was netless at the time. Do you know the spp. on that island? I'm kind of curious about how rare it is.

That would be the nominate race(Dominican Rep.) Still tough to find in perfect quality, esp. females.

I have a question regarding P.caiguanabus: It is called "Poeys black Swallowtail" but it is described as being dark brown. How does its color look "in the flesh"?

In dry scrub forest, it can be pretty common in the DR. Not too many people collect in dry scrub forest, so it is not very often collected. Great skippers and satyrs also occur in this habitat.
