I like the large image, courtesy of photobucket. This is a wonderful species and like beetlehorn, I certainly never tire of seeing them and I could spend days with them, which indeed I have recently.  I was very lucky to get an image with the lovely purple showing on all four wings, the first time I have achieved such a feat. It depends on the light and in a different light the purple may just show on one-two wings or in they will appear brown. |
