I was hoping someone could help me with this ID. It was collected in Mobile, Alabama, in 1929. I know it's not native to the US and probably ended up here by ship like many other exotics (red fire ants, cogon grass, etc.). This specimen is part of the H. P. Loding collection held at the Alabama Museum of Natural History. Thanks in advance! Attachments:

tribe: Cerambycinae. Since there are no antennal spines, it's not South American. My guess is that it might be in the genus Aeolesthes or something similar. Maybe Southeast Asia, possibly Chinese. My suggestion is to look for The Longhorn Beetles of China, or Longicorns du Laos, by Gressitt et. al. Also, hit the University libraries and acquire all of the papers by Hustache, Breuning, and other Cerambycid researchers going back 150 years. It's a matter of finding literature, which in my case is a constant process which never ends. Jeff Prill

There are spines on the antenomeres but the angle of the photo doesn't show them. I was thinking maybe something in Juiaparus or Jupoata.

I used www.Cerambycoidea.com to get to Juiaparus or Jupoata. I'll try and track down some literature to get a solid ID on it.

I wanted you to go to the links. However, I'm not getting all of that website. Here's what I wanted you to find. www. cerambycids.plantcdfa.cagov/byciddb/details.asp?id=1453.
