These are colored artificially with a mystery chemical which is present as a yellow dust. Upon relaxing these critters in water or water vapour their brilliant blue is lost :-( If you must have one, just remove from card, carefully stab with your pin of choice and add to collection 'as is'. r.ebay.com/81VE0E

Thanks for the warning. My dark blue bought from another seller in Canada is still dark blue. I'd love to add a bright blue Lamprima to my collection, but I'll be very careful now. What color do these turn when they are relaxed?

if you are after a bright blue specimen, kingdom of beetles taiwan have some breeding now.
