These P. autocrator females come from Sarez Lake area, W Pamirs. Being probably the most hard to access of all of the species' known localities, this habitat gives hope the Pamirs autocrator will survive overcollecting by paraentomologists and mass slaughter by the poachers hired by the former. Your sentence is losing its grip when adding a picture of dead samples...

There are only two, not twenty two or two hundred twenty two... Or shall I delete the photos?

Did you collect them yourself? It would be amazing to see that area.

Unfortunately not, although several times I flew over the place in a Mi-8 chopper. Attachments:

No it is fine, you are free to say whatever you want and think. I just wanted to point out the logical fallacy from my POV.

Well, thanks for permission... To me it looks like a fallacy of yours, for envy is what never loses its grip.

Firstly, I would like to point out that these specimens of autocrator are either geographical variation or a subspecies and not an aberration. Stapleton would seem to imply that some parnassius populations are been seriously depleted by commercial collectors?. I wonder if Radusho will comment on this.

Thanks, nomad. Thanks, suzuki.
I may agree with nomad regarding the Sarez population specimens being somewhat a separate geo-variation, but not a subspecies. So far, this is P. autocrator autocrator described by Avinov (1913), and the upper specimen is just an aberration, I believe.
