1. Papilio dardanus female
I would need to see both sides of number 5 to be certain which species this is, but it is a female of Papilio chrapkowskoides, nireus or sosia.

#2 is Pseudoneptis bugandensis ianthe
#3 is likely a species in the Massaga genus. (a moth)
#4 could be Alytarchia leonina (also a moth)

Number 5 is female of Papilio chrapkowskoides or P. sosia (or nireus). Difficult to be more acurate without the upperside.

I presume you caught these yourself in Togo. Am looking for places in Africa to collect personally. Do you have any suggestions for a tour guide in Togo, or have any advice on collecting/export permits (if any are needed) ? Thanks, Michael

Actually there are some local sellers supplying insects from Togo nowadays, so maybe they weren't caught by dpotanin. I received some from a friend who got them from a collector. They were caught at ForĂȘt de Missahohe, near Kpalime.

You may be correct, Adam. I thought he may have collected them himself since most suppliers provide ID's along with the specimens, although I do know of a Vietnamese supplier who does leave it to your own device to determine ID. I did always wonder how a supplier determines a price if he/she does not even know what they are selling !
