Hi all, This day flying moth looks to be a Chetone (Pericopis) species. It was caught in North Eastern Argentina on the boarder with Brazil (Misiones Province) in January 2015. The moth behaves exactly as a heliconid when flying, and I assume it is part of a Mullerian mimicry ring with the blue form of H. doris. Can anyone give a full identity of this species? Attachments:

it is Hypocrita bicolora SULZER, 1776

Hi, Manfred, Many thanks for the information, and I think the Hypocrita part is right, but when I bring up the photos of the two specimens, I think my Hypocrita specimen from Northern Argentina is a different species? They seem quite different when viewed together. Regards

The picture of Wikipedia does not represent Hypocrita bicolora but another species (I think divisa or nigrivenata). Have a look to the other pictures in the net or plate 61c in Seitz Vol. 6.
