I am quite new in the 'butterfly collecting-world' and I am curious about your experiences with www.lepidopexchange.com (in terms of reliability, quality, delivery speed in comparison with similar websites as for example . As I am only interested in holarctic/palearctic species, the website offers a wide range of species. I had contact with the owner Jean Herzet and it all seems to be very professional...only the lack of pictures of the species feels kind of odd.

Many thanks Radusho,
I didn't know shipping from Belgium is so expensive. But I am from the neighbor the Netherlands, so maybe shipment is more cheap then...

I know Jean-Paul very well from the fairs in Belgium where he always has a stand and from his homeplace. The quality of his specimens is very good and he has a large selection of rare species at reasonable prices. If you ask him for pictures of the specimens he should normally provide them pretty fast. In the meanwhile I have ordered some rare holarctic species! He send some pictures immediate after my request. I look forward to receive the species, but from my first point of view: very professional, reliable and quick trader/seller.

While I find the prices a bit on the expensive side, this is compensated by the quality. Jean-Paul Herzet is a very honest person - I have had a dispute concerning some specimens and he refunded on the spot, no questions asked.

Hello cyware,
do you know sellers/traders who offer that large range of species (from my point of view only interested in Holarctic, rather Western-Palearctic species) with a better price?
