Yesterday I received a respons on my add, placed at last wednesday (25-3) about my 'WANT TO BUY: Cupido carswelli'. For me it looks like a scammer (look the addes picture), because of the weird email address and the name 'gympie gympie'. It is a guy who calls himself Peter from Maryland. Has anyone heard of him? He has added his phone number, but I am from the Netherlands...so a call to the States is quit expensive... Attachments:

Welcome to the internet. Whenever you post something here you will get plenty of replies from any part of the world. If you place an add for a local species in Spain disregard any replies not from Europe. How likely is it that someone travels from the US to Spain for about 2000 euro (yes that is what a one week intercontinental collecting trip will cost) and then lets you have the species for a cheap 8 dollars a piece? Just delete the replies next time.
Do you visit Frankfurt insect fair? I know it is some time but there you shuld be able to get carswelli, mounted, and you can check for quality.

Many thanks, it is a pitty such guys are participating in the collectors' world. It doesn't sound logical indeed someone from the US travels to Spain, so I will ignore his emails.
Probably better in Frankfurt, but then I'll have to wait till november right?

Maybe someone serious will reply to your add, if not, the first week of November (or very rarely last week October) in Frankfurt. Expect them to cost some money. Most people are after them when trying to finish their European collection.
