Received today from the publisher !   8 pages of text, and 24 beautiful coloured plates. It treats Kallima from Asia and Kamilla, Mallika & Kallimoides from Afrika A+, Michel |

Hopefully it treats Kallima albofasciata continentalis as a synonym of Kallima inachus alboinachus.

Kallima albofasciata continentalis is not mentionned in this book, but we have Kallima inachus albofasciata from Adaman Islands, and Kallima inachus alboinachus from S.Vietnam, S.Laos & SE.Thailand. He says the later is easily distinguished from the former !

So Küppers treats K. albofasciata from the Andaman Is. as a subspecies of K. inachus rather than an endemic species.
For the information of readers, Rumbucher described continentalis from specimens that emerged from pupae bought from Stratford Butterfly Farm in the UK. Stratford obtained these pupae from a Thai breeder in Kanchanaburi, W Thailand, and told Rumbucher that the butterflies came from there. In fact the parent stock was obtained from Sisaket, E Thailand and was bred in Kanchanaburi. Of course it is alboinachus from E Thailand, and nothing new. Nakamura has already synonymised this in Japanese literature (it may still be in press, but I think it has been published now).
