Anyone had any experience with this website? I'm wondering because they are offering Bhutanitis, Teinopalpus and Papilio chikae for sale. I suppose the Bhutanitis and Teinopalpus could be okay since they are CITES 2, but I thought chikae could never be legally sold being CITES 1. Or could their chikae actually be hermeli?
I'm not interested in any of those species (I already have Bhutanitis that I got from Insects International years ago), but they have some other nice stuff like Kallima inachus and Acherontia which are not seen often.

He is a legitimate seller, as I have bought from him before. From my experience, their service is good, and their shipping is fast. However, they don't have permits for their CITES insects, so I agree with you that staying away from them would be best. He used to sell on eBay a while ago too, but I believe he got kicked off for selling the chikae.

I have done several transactions with this seller. Quality has been good and the service has been fast. I have not purchased Cites bugs though.

I don't get why anyone would try to sell CITES 1 bugs this way. Wouldn't internet sites like that be the very first place that the USFWS (and other law enforcement) would keep tabs on for stuff like this? The first thing you see when you open the website is the ad for Papilio chikae. Couldn't be more obvious. And if he already got kicked off eBay recently, won't the feds be shutting his site down too?
But anyway, for those who bought non-CITES stuff from them, do the specimens have collecting data? He is offering some interesting material.

The specimens that I got had just the very basic data, ie. country or origin. I suppose you could request more specific data.
